We are studying verbs in English right now. For my bulletin board I cut out triangles of construction paper and my 3 classes worked together to contribute unique, vivid verbs to write on each one. Just happened to be fall colors (or Starburst colors if you prefer to look at it that way).
At times it was slow progress. And at times I wanted to make them repeat the definition of a noun the whole hour in the hopes that nouns would then stop showing up in our quilt..... but that was a good opportunity for the other kids to check it and point out non-verbs and duplicate words.
Finished product- a Flying Geese pattern Verb Quilt :-) The 4th grade English teacher was quite impressed ;-p
