Worship in God's Beauty!

Sunday we had a potluck and evening church at a beach half an hour away. There was a baptism in the ocean before dinner, reminded me of baptisms in PNG when I was little.

It was beautiful! The sand was a mixture of white and volcanic black sand.

Not far off the shore there were waves breaking on the reef that surrounds much of the island.

Job 9: 4, 8, 10

He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened himself against Him, and hath prospered? Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea. Which doeth great things past finding out; and wonders without number.

I got to show Kristen how to hunt for the little pink rainbows that hide under the tops of some baby coconuts. It is always fun to anticipate if there will be one or not when you are taking the top off. Was one of my favorite things as a kid! :-)

Church on a grassy area next to the beach after a potluck supper.

Green bean casserole and fried rice.....

It was a fascinating mixture of island and American food, a bit random but tasty!

With carmelized banana lumpia for dessert!

The day ended with a beautiful sunset that came

just in time for us to marvel at

before heading home.

A great afternoon/evening spent with a great friend~

Praise the Lord for His beauty and plan!
