The Long Awaited--- pictures of my classroom in progress! (don't worry, these were before orientation!)

Mountains of wrapping from all the packages of books and tests that were waiting for me when I got here. It was really nice to already have everything of that nature hauled up the stairs to my room. Unwrapping and counting were the easy parts of the job!

This was only a small part of the box mountain I had between the boxes of teaching things I sent and the boxes the curriculum were in. Our fifth grade teaching aide graciously broke them down for me and hauled them to the cardboard dumpster. Its the only thing that is recycled here in Guam. Which causes me to wonder... why are there recycle bins of various types by the trash cans? :-)
My room was bare when I got here and smelled awful.
It had to get worse (messy, not smellier!) before it could get better.
But was well worth it in the end!
